
Kellen and his team entered the Wild West Modified Shootout Speedweek as they have done the past several years and came away as the overall Speedweek Champion, posting a pair of wins, four runner up finishes, a third and a ninth place finish for his efforts.
The opening night at the Siskiyou Golden Speedway in Yreka, CA saw Kellen start 12th in the main and race his way forward to a ninth place finish, which would prove to be his worst finish of the entire eight nights on tour.
Night #2, the team made their way to the Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford, OR and Kellen ran a solid second in the main event, crossing the line with runner up honors.
Night #3 was held at the Coos Bay Speedway in Coos Bay, OR and Kellen started fourth in the main event and charged home with his second straight runner up finish in the main event.
Night #4 was the first of two straight nights at the Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, OR and Kellen was able to break through with his first win of Speedweeks. He started 5th on the grid and raced his way to victory lane.
Night #5 was the second straight night at Cottage Grove, in which Kellen started third and raced home with his third runner up finish of the week when the checkered flag flew.
Night #6, the teams made their way to the Sunset Speedway Park in Banks, OR and rain showers plagued the event, forcing the postponement of the feature until Friday night at Willamette.
Thursday was a much needed night off for teams to get ready for the weekend finale at the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, OR.
Friday night, Kellen started 4th in the main event and once again, kept his top three streak alive with his fourth runner up finish of the week.
The Wednesday night make up feature from Banks was then held at the conclusion of Friday night's show and Kellen started 9th and charged forward to a solid third place finish.
The final event of Speedweeks was held on Saturday night at Willamette and Kellen started on the pole of the three wide feature and withstood several challenges to come home with the fearure win and the overall Speedweeks Championship!
The win was his third of the 2019 campaign.
