Kellen and crew made the trip to the Merced Speedway in Merced, CA with his IMCA Modified. Kellen would draw the pole for his heat race and run away with the victory, earning the third starting spot in the night's main event. From inside of the third row, he raced inside the top five all night long, coming home with a third place finish in the main event.

Kellen was in action on Saturday night at the Antioch Speedway in Antioch, CA. He started 4th in his Modified heat race and raced to the lead and the win. In the feature, he again started 4th and worked his way forward to win the 30-lap main event for his first win of the season.

He also competed in the IMCA Stock Car division and won his heat race from his 4th starting position and then raced from his 8th starting spot to finish 3rd in the main event.
